Genavive has been interpreting since 2008 and still has that same passion for accessibility and linguistics as she did from day one. She received her AA degree in 2008 in Asl/English interpreting and her BA in Deaf Studies with an emphasis on Asl/English interpreting from Cal State Northridge in 2013. She has interpreted in a myriad of settings such as educational, general medical settings, mental health and social work. She has served on NORCRID, RID’s local chapter in Northern California in a variety of board positions and founded BAYTOC with a committee of 5 other interpreters of color.
